Achievements:
I was selected for the Congress of Future Medical Leaders Award of Excellence.
Activites:
In my free time, I really enjoy reading. I am familiar with most genres and can easily finish a book once I've gotten into it. I've found that reading has even connected me to both an online community and the community at my school.I volunteer a lot through Student Council. I help with things such as the Winter Carnival and the Old Falls Village Halloween event. Volunteering opportunities such as these gives me the opportunity to further familiarize myself with the people in my community and help them in a positive way. I am also a part of the Health Occupations Students of America (HOSA) club. I have competed in various events during my three years of being a member of this club. I won first in my group event, "HOSA Happenings", where my group members and I made a newsletter documenting the things/events in our chapter. Currently, I am on the HOSA Board. I, along with my fellow board members, plan, organize, and help students with volunteering and different events at the school. I am in charge of Communications, a job that entails running the various club pages and keeping track of all information that needs to be given to the group.
Additional:
As a member of Key Club, I have many community service opportunities available to me. For example, I have gone into nearby parks and forests to collect trash - both for my community members and the overall health of the environment. As a part of Student Council and HOSA, we have made many cards for many people in the community. Our recipients vary, some going to local nursing homes, and others going to the veterans at the VA.
